Thank you for taking the time to read my resume. Below you will find details about my unique work experiences. As I continually strive to improve and reach my goals I am looking for a company that shares my vision so that I may grow within the company.

EXPERIENCE

Associate/Replenishment

Currently working at Michaels, great company and people to work with. I have worked replenishment, sales floor positions, and cashiering. Within my first six months I have been awarded a team player badge twice and the employee of the month badge/plaque once.

Detailer/Assistant Manager

Started as a detailer and moved my way up to an assistant manager of the shop. I worked 8-12 hour days 4 times a week. It was fast paced, hard work, with hot and cold temperature extremes while working outdoors. I take pride in my work and enjoyed seeing the customers face upon delivery. The importance of following procedures and time management was emphasized in order for everyone to get the work done in a timely manner.

Multi-Skilled Technician
My primary position involved helping the Facilities Manager in keeping the whole facility clean and organized. My main duties were to make sure the whole building was as clean as possible, while making sure all the exhibits were properly functioning. When the company changed CEO I was able to help with IT problem solving and created original graphics, interactive brochures, and printed pamphlets for the company in house.

Meat Clerk

As a meat clerk I never missed a day in the 6 months that I worked there. Stocking deliveries and keeping track of inventory were the main duties. I enjoyed keeping my work area clean, greeting customers and helping them in any way I could.

Service Tech/Installer

Gave quotes and estimates to customers, then I helped with installation of the machinery and duct work. Plus whatever else needed to be done to finish the job, wiring, plumbing, carpentry etc. As a small business working there gave me insight into some of the ups and downs of owning your own business.
Scootersandmore!
Owner/Distributor

I started my own online business selling electric and gas mopeds and scooters. I designed the website and manage the upkeep, inventory, e-mails, and phone calls.

Manager
Started out doing maintenance around the apartment properties, including lawn maintenance, trash pick-up, and general cleanup. Then prep, paint, and repairing the units including drywall, electrical, plumbing, patching, tile and carpet replacement. After a couple of years I was promoted to a Property Management position with six properties of my own to manage and maintain. This included apartment buildings and houses. I was on call 24/7 day/night/holidays. I also talked to prospective clients for renting and handled all of the paper work included the leasing and collecting of rent monies.

Associate
As a flexible associate my positions included cashiering, stocking, and customer service to gladly help anyone with questions. I also worked in the furniture section, built the displays, and helped customers by bringing the items to the front of the store when purchased and then out to the car if needed.

Photo Tech/Associate

I worked everywhere in the store. The photo center was my main job then cashier, stocking, customer service, and closing with managers.

Service Tech

I used my own vehicle with their carpet machine in the back of my car and went to the jobs I was assigned. After a week of training I was qualified to do anything the customer asked. Up-sale was encouraged to earn bonuses.

Crest Cadillac and Oldsmobile Dealership

Every six months to a year I was able to master a new position within the company.  The positions I held are as follows, used car lot attendant, lube technician (mechanic in training) where I completed several of the ASE certifications, service car washer, body shop detailer, full detailer, and service porter.

Assistant Manager

Mitsubishi which at the time was under the same ownership as the Cadillac store, so over all I have about 6 years with them. I was second in charge of the parts department and able to run the department without supervision. After my year review in the department I was making hourly plus commission. Working at Mitsubishi was a great learning experience in inventory management, sales, and customer service.

Herald Tribune

Being a subscription seller helped me to become comfortable talking to strangers outside of my comfort zone. This was a great experience in order to help me come out of my shell.

Rodgers Factory

Assembler

In this job I had to be alert, fast, and diligent. I worked with plastic injection molding machines; I also had to watch the assembly machines to make sure they didn't jam. The goal was to produce as much product as possible while remaining safe in a hazardous environment.

Photography Assistant

We used Photoshop to edit pictures, add borders, and other effects. Then we would produce buttons, plaques, posters, and cards with the final images.

EDUCATION
Art Instruction School
Direct/Home school program. I learned to look at people, structures, and nature in different ways. Some art history involved but mostly concepts of drawing and painting. Taking classes through the mail was a unique experience that taught me how to focus on my studies and become self-motivated.

Associates in Graphic Design: Keiser University
As a professional school there was a required dress code. Being on time was important or you were locked out of the classroom and did not get credit for that day, just as a worker could get sent home for showing up late. Overall great experience and I met several like-minded individuals that I became friends with.

Currently enrolled for my Bachelors in the Business Information Systems program where I am learning how a business runs and how to manage it.
